Epicocillin is used to treat complicated acute sinusitis, sore throat, urinary tract and kidney infections, cystitis, gastrointestinal infections, female genital tract infections, and listeritic meningitis when used with aminoglycosides.
Epicocillin is used to treat infections caused by organisms sensitive to ampicillin. If necessary, ampicillin should be provided after initial comprehensive coverage with a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic.
