Cefaxim is an antibacterial drug used to treat infections of the skin, respiratory tract, urinary and reproductive tracts, as well as soft tissue infections and cellulitis in children. It is also effective in treating bone and joint conditions.
Cefaxim works against bacteria sensitive to it, whether they are gram-positive or gram-negative, including types of Staphylococcus aureus that appear resistant to penicillin.
