Xorin Vial is a broad-spectrum antibiotic used to treat serious bacterial infections in various parts of the body. These vials contain the active ingredient cefotaxime in a 1 gram concentration, and are also available in a 500 mg concentration. Cefotaxime belongs to a class of antibiotics known as third-generation cephalosporins. This medication works by killing the bacteria causing the infection or inhibiting their growth by affecting the structure of the bacterial cell wall, making it effective against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.
