Famox is an antibiotic used to treat a variety of bacterial infections. This medication is mainly used to treat respiratory tract infections, such as sore throat, sinusitis, and tonsillitis, in addition to urinary tract infections and skin and soft tissue infections.
Famox can also be prescribed to treat some cases of middle ear infections and gastrointestinal infections caused by bacteria sensitive to the antibiotic.
