About Sodium Fusidate Steroidal antibiotic (topical). Mechanism of Action of Sodium Fusidate Sodium fusidate is a bactericidal or bacteriostatic drug depending upon the concentration. It inhibits the transfer of aminoacid from aminoacyl sRNA to the protein. This will leads to inhibition of protein synthesis in the bacteria and prevent the growth of microbes.
