Futasole cream is used to treat skin infections caused by fungi or bacteria, especially infections caused by Staphylococcus aureus. This cream contains a topical antibiotic that helps kill bacteria or inhibit their growth, which reduces symptoms associated with infection such as redness, irritation, itching, and pain. Futasole treats bacterial skin infections such as impetigo, dermatitis around the nails, inflammation of hair follicles, boils, and small abscesses.
Futasole treats some cases of eczema infected with bacteria, where it is sometimes used in combination with a cream containing cortisone to reduce inflammation. It treats infected wounds and scratches to prevent the infection from worsening and speeds healing. It also treats skin infections resulting from sweating or friction, especially in hot and humid areas.
