Medicine Description fucidin-topical 2%
Fucidin Topical is a topical antibiotic that is used to treat boils and scabies. It contains the active ingredient fusidic acid and is primarily used to treat bacterial skin infections caused by bacteria sensitive to this substance. Its most important uses include treating boils, hair follicle infections, impetigo, infected wounds, and infections resulting from eczema.
Fucidin Topical is used externally only, by applying it to the affected area two to three times daily, as directed by the doctor. It is preferable to continue using it for the specified period to avoid recurrence of the infection or bacterial resistance.
