Thyrocel is used to treat goiter, which affects the thyroid gland, in patients who cannot tolerate methimazole.
Thyrocel is also used to treat hyperthyroidism and to block the production of thyroxine and triiodothyronine hormones.
Thyrocel is also used to prevent the production of excess hormones by the gland and to treat thyroid toxicity, especially during or before the first three months of pregnancy. In addition, it helps in treating Graves' disease and controlling thyroid function.
