Medicine Description
Optidex-T eye ointment is used to treat eye infections caused by bacteria. It contains a combination of an antibiotic that works to eliminate bacteria and an anti-inflammatory that helps reduce swelling, redness, and pain resulting from the infection. A small amount of the ointment is placed inside the lower eyelid of the affected eye according to the doctor's instructions, taking care to keep it clean and not to touch the tip of the tube directly to the eye.
Optidex-T ointment is effective in cases where the infection is accompanied by severe irritation or secretions. It should be used for the period specified by the doctor. Do not stop treatment even if you feel better to avoid a return of symptoms or the development of resistance to the drug.
