Cymevene is a medicine used to treat viral infections caused by the CMV (Cytomegalovirus) virus, especially in people with weakened immune systems, such as patients who have undergone organ transplants, are receiving chemotherapy, or are infected with the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).
Cymevene is also used to prevent this infection in people who are more susceptible to it.
