Cymevene is used to treat viral infections caused by cytomegalovirus (CMV), especially in people with weakened immunity such as organ transplant patients or those suffering from human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).
Cymevene is also used to prevent infection with CMV in people who are more susceptible to infection.
