Ibiamox is used to treat a variety of bacterial infections in adults and children including ear, nose and throat infections, lung and respiratory tract infections, stomach and intestinal infections, skin and soft tissue infections, genitourinary tract infections, and other infections such as Lyme disease caused by tick bites.
Ibiamox is also used to prevent inflammation of the inner lining of the heart caused by bacteria entering the bloodstream during certain medical procedures, such as tooth extractions.
