Hiconcil is used to treat upper respiratory tract infections, such as sore throat, tonsillitis, sinusitis, and otitis media, as well as lower respiratory tract infections such as bronchitis and pneumonia. Hiconcil is also used to treat urinary tract infections, including cystitis, urethritis, kidney infection, and pelvic inflammatory disease. These medications also help prevent endocarditis caused by bacterial infections.
