Ibiamox is used to treat a variety of bacterial infections in adults and children. It treats ear, nose, and throat infections, lung and respiratory tract infections, gastrointestinal infections, skin and soft tissue infections, urinary and reproductive tract infections, and other types of infections, including Lyme disease caused by tick bites.
Ibiamox helps prevent inflammation of the inner lining of the heart, especially when bacteria are likely to enter the blood during medical procedures such as tooth extractions.
