Medicine Description
Trusopt eye drops are used to treat high eye pressure associated with glaucoma. They work by reducing the production of aqueous humor within the eye, which helps lower internal pressure and prevent optic nerve damage and gradual vision loss. Trusopt contains dorzolamide, a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor. It effectively reduces fluid production, which helps balance intraocular pressure.
Trusopt is usually used twice daily, as directed by your doctor. Hands should be washed well before use and the tip of the bottle should be avoided from touching the eye to maintain the safety of the solution. The prescribed dose should be adhered to and the medication should not be discontinued until after consulting your doctor to ensure improvement and stable eye pressure.
