Ectomethrin cream is used to treat lice and scabies. It kills parasites that live on the skin, such as head lice or scabies. It contains an active ingredient that eliminates parasites and their eggs by affecting their nervous system, leading to paralysis and death.
Ectomethrin cream is used on dry, clean skin and left for a specific period according to the doctor’s instructions. Then it is washed with warm water. It must be reapplied after a few days if the condition requires it. All people close to the infected person must be treated to avoid transmission of the infection. The cream must be avoided from contact with the eyes, mouth, or sensitive areas. Wash hands well after use. The cream may cause slight itching or redness of the skin, which is normal and temporary.
