Medicine Description fusiderm 2%
Fusiderm ointment is used to treat skin infections caused by bacteria. It is a topical antibiotic. It contains fusidic acid, which works to stop the growth of bacteria that cause infection. Fusiderm is used in conditions such as bacterial dermatitis, boils, infected wounds, and sometimes acne if accompanied by infection.
Fusiderm ointment is applied to the affected area two to three times daily as directed by the doctor. It should not be used for long periods to avoid bacteria becoming resistant to the antibiotic.
