Medicine Description
Streptase is used to treat acute blood clots in the arteries or veins, such as pulmonary embolism, which occurs as a result of blockage of blood vessels in the lungs, or deep vein thrombosis, which often appears in the legs and poses a health risk if not treated quickly. Streptase is also used in cases of acute myocardial infarction when the patient needs to dissolve the clot that blocks one of the coronary arteries, which leads to the interruption of blood supply to the heart muscle.
Streptase is used to improve blood flow in some cases in which serious blockages appear in the blood vessels leading to the brain or extremities.
