Miphenicol ointment is used to treat many bacterial infections of the skin and eyes. The ointment is usually used to treat eye infections such as conjunctivitis resulting from a bacterial infection, eyelid infections or superficial eye ulcers, minor skin infections such as boils or wounds infected with bacteria.
Miphenicol also helps prevent infection in wounds after surgeries or injuries.
