Azalide is prescribed to treat infections caused by microbes sensitive to it. It is used in cases of lower respiratory tract infections such as bronchitis and pneumonia, upper respiratory tract infections such as sinusitis, sore throat or tonsillitis, and Azalide is also used to treat middle ear infections, in addition to infections of the skin and soft tissues, sexually transmitted diseases, whether in men or women.
Azalide is used to treat urethritis not caused by gonorrhea, as well as cervicitis caused by Chlamydia trachomatis bacteria.
