Ceftazidime is used to treat infections that affect bones and joints, in addition to infections of the abdominal cavity, infections that affect the reproductive system in women, and infections of the respiratory system such as pneumonia, as well as inflammation of the membranes surrounding the brain.
Ceftazidime is also used to treat skin infections, urinary tract infections, in addition to severe infections that may pose a threat to life.
