Medicine Description
Eprex is a medicine used to treat anemia associated with chronic renal failure, anemia caused by the use of zidovudine in patients with HIV, anemia caused by chemotherapy in cancer patients, and Eprex to reduce the need for homologous blood transfusions in patients undergoing surgery.
Eprex stimulates the production of red blood cells, the process of releasing reticulocytes from the bone marrow into the bloodstream, where they mature into complete red blood cells.
