Pulmicort is used to control and prevent asthma symptoms such as wheezing and shortness of breath.
Pulmicort belongs to the class of corticosteroids, and works directly in the lungs to facilitate breathing by reducing irritation and swelling of the airways to achieve effectiveness. Pulmicort is also used to treat acute bacterial sinusitis.
Pulmicort nasal sprays are used as an adjuvant treatment alongside antibiotics and also helps in treating chronic sinusitis.
