Pulmicort is used to treat seasonal or perennial allergic rhinitis in adults and children over 6 years of age. It helps relieve upper respiratory symptoms caused by hay fever and other respiratory allergies, such as nasal congestion, runny nose, sneezing, and itchy nose.
Pulmicort also treats or prevents the development of nasal polyps after polypectomy surgery. In addition, it helps control the symptoms of nasal inflammation caused by various allergies or non-allergic vascular rhinitis.
