Lactodel is used to lower prolactin levels in the body to prevent milk production in mothers after childbirth, especially in medical conditions such as miscarriage or the mother being infected with AIDS.
Lactodel treats increased prolactin in men and women who suffer from a disorder in the sex glands or milk secretion and deals with some non-malignant tumors that cause increased prolactin secretion, such as pituitary gland tumors and helps in treating some menstrual disorders and infertility in women and in cases of Parkinson's disease (shaking palsy).
