Gonal-F is used in cases of primary ovarian failure in women. Gonal-F is used to enhance ovulation and increase fertility. In cases of men suffering from hypogonadism, this hormone is used to stimulate sperm formation. Gonal-F can also be used to stimulate the ovaries to produce multiple eggs, which can be collected and used in gamete intrafallopian transfer (GIFT) or in vitro fertilization (IVF).
