Medicine Description
Paraplatin BMS injections are used to treat various types of cancer, such as ovarian cancer and lung cancer. The drug contains carboplatin, which works to destroy cancer cells by disrupting their DNA and preventing cell division. This drug has less of an effect on the kidneys compared to other drugs in the same class, such as cisplatin, but it may cause a decrease in white blood cells and platelets, which requires constant blood monitoring. It may also cause nausea, fatigue, or a change in the sense of taste. The patient requires close medical follow-up to assess the response to the drug and adjust the dose according to the health condition. It is not recommended to use
Paraplatin BMS during pregnancy or breastfeeding. The doctor must be informed of any other medications being taken to avoid drug interactions.
