Minirin tablets are used to treat nocturia or involuntary night-time urination. They help reduce the patient need to urinate during sleep by reducing the amount of urine produced by the kidneys.
Minirin is prescribed in some cases of diabetes insipidus resulting from a deficiency of antidiuretic hormone (ADH) or the body sensitivity to this hormone. This helps regulate water levels in the body and reduce excessive thirst and frequent urination.
Minirin can also be used as part of the treatment for some rare bleeding disorders such as von Willebrand disease or to reduce bleeding associated with low levels of blood clotting factors.
