Medicine Description
Gaptin is used to treat many neurological conditions and chronic pain resulting from nerve problems. It is considered an anticonvulsant drug as it works to calm abnormal electrical activity in the brain, relieve nerve pain resulting from diabetes or spinal cord injuries, treat epilepsy and control partial nerve seizures, relieve chronic pain associated with a condition called post-herpetic neuralgia.
Gaptin can be used to treat some anxiety disorders in some cases. The drug should be used under the supervision of a specialist doctor because it may cause side effects or interfere with other medications.
