Medicine Description
Konakion is used to treat vitamin K deficiency which may occur as a result of taking some anticoagulant medications or due to some medical conditions that lead to poor absorption of this vitamin. Vitamin K deficiency can lead to increased bleeding. Konakion is given to newborns to prevent bleeding in newborns, especially in cases where the mother suffers from vitamin K deficiency.
Konakion is used in cases that require improving the level of blood clotting such as some blood clotting disorders. Some patients who have severe liver problems suffer from vitamin K deficiency due to the inability to produce proteins involved in blood clotting sufficiently. In these cases,
