Clexane is mainly used to reduce the risk of blood clots forming in the body and is usually prescribed in cases of prevention of clots after major surgeries such as orthopedic surgeries, treatment of deep vein thrombosis or pulmonary embolism and prevention of clots in patients bedridden for long periods.
Clexane can also be used in some heart conditions such as unstable angina or in the context of treating myocardial infarction. However, it should be used under close medical supervision to avoid any possible complications.
