Its most prominent uses include improving low heart rate in cases of cardiac arrhythmia, supporting heart function in cases of shock or acute heart failure, expanding the bronchi to facilitate breathing in some cases of bronchospasm or narrowing of the airways, and temporarily raising or stimulating low blood pressure when needed.
