Nimotop is mainly used to improve blood flow to the brain and prevent damage resulting from decreased blood flow. It is usually prescribed in cases of subarachnoid hemorrhage, i.e. bleeding in the area surrounding the brain, to help prevent blood vessel spasm.
Nimotop may also be used to improve neurological function and reduce the risk of complications when there are problems with blood flow to the brain.
