Zithromax injections are used to treat infections caused by sensitive microorganisms in the upper respiratory tract such as sinusitis and sore throat, and the lower respiratory tract such as bronchitis and pneumonia, in addition to infections of the skin and soft tissues, and acute otitis media.
Zithromax is also used to treat simple genital infections caused by Chlamydia trachomatis bacteria, soft sores caused by Haemophilus ducreyi bacteria, and simple genital infections caused by Neisseria gonorrhoeae bacteria that are not resistant to antibiotics.
