Biodroxil is used to treat a range of infections caused by certain types of bacteria, including streptococcal sore throat and tonsillitis, pneumonia, and urinary tract infections, such as kidney inflammation and cystitis.
Biodroxil also treats skin and soft tissue infections, including abscesses, boils, pyoderma, and lymphadenitis.
