Medicine Description
TRIXOMASH is a broad-spectrum antibiotic used to treat severe bacterial infections by inhibiting bacterial cell wall
synthesis, thereby preventing bacterial growth and eliminating susceptible microorganisms.
It is effective in the treatment of serious infections affecting the respiratory tract, urinary tract, bloodstream,
bones, joints, skin, and soft tissues. TRIXOMASH is also widely used for surgical prophylaxis to reduce the risk of
postoperative bacterial infections.

1 g vial for intravenous (I.V.) injection.

TRIXOMASH Uses
Treatment of acute bacterial pneumonia and other lower respiratory tract infections.
Treatment of pyelonephritis and complicated urinary tract infections.
Management of severe infections of the bones, joints, skin, and soft tissues.
Treatment of bacterial septicemia and acute bacterial meningitis.
Prevention of bacterial infections before and after major surgical procedures.
TRIXOMASH Dosage
The dosage depends on the type and severity of the infection as well as the patient's clinical condition. The usual
adult dose is 1–2 g daily, administered either intravenously or intramuscularly according to the physician's
assessment.
Pediatric and infant doses are calculated individually based on body weight, age, and the type of infection. Follow
the prescribed dosage and complete the full course of treatment without interruption unless instructed otherwise by
your physician.
TRIXOMASH Side Effects
Mild pain, redness, or irritation at the injection site.
Mild gastrointestinal disturbances such as temporary diarrhea or nausea.

Temporary changes in laboratory test results, including liver enzymes or blood cell counts, which usually resolve
after treatment is completed.
TRIXOMASH Contraindications

Do not use this medication in patients with a history of hypersensitivity or severe allergic reactions to
ceftriaxone or other cephalosporin antibiotics.

It should also be avoided in patients with severe penicillin allergy because of the risk of cross-reactivity.

Ceftriaxone is contraindicated in hyperbilirubinemic neonates and premature infants, as well as in neonates
receiving intravenous calcium-containing solutions due to the risk of calcium-ceftriaxone precipitation in the
lungs and kidneys.

Use During Pregnancy and Breastfeeding
TRIXOMASH may be used during pregnancy if the treating physician determines that the expected benefits outweigh the
potential risks. Treatment should always be administered under appropriate medical supervision.
Small amounts of ceftriaxone may pass into breast milk. Therefore, breastfeeding mothers should consult their
physician before using this medication to determine whether it is appropriate while ensuring the infant's safety.
Always follow the prescribed dosage and duration of treatment.
Storage Conditions
Store the dry powder in a cool, dry place at a temperature not exceeding 25°C.
Keep the vial in its original carton to protect it from moisture and direct sunlight.
Store out of the sight and reach of children.
