Hi-Cal Forte is used to treat calcium deficiency in both adults and children. The drug aims to compensate for calcium deficiency in postmenopausal women, which leads to calcium loss. It is also taken during pregnancy to compensate for the deficiency resulting from fetal nutrition. Hi-Cal Forte is used to treat calcium deficiency in patients with osteoporosis and osteomalacia. The drug also treats cramps resulting from low calcium levels.
Hi-Cal Forte is also used to treat thyroid dysfunction. The drug is considered a complementary treatment in cases of allergy to calcium found in milk and cheese.
