Controloc is used to treat cases of excess stomach acid that causes heartburn and acidity, as it contains the active ingredient pantoprazole, which is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that produces stomach acid, thus reducing its amount and helping to relieve acidity and calm irritation of the stomach lining. It is also used to treat stomach and duodenum ulcers , its a treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease, and helps in treating Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, which is a disease caused by increased gastric acid secretion.

What are the dosages of Controloc?

- Dosage for treating heartburn: 20 mg once daily.
- Dosage for treating stomach ulcers and gastroesophageal reflux disease: 20-40 mg once daily.
- Dosage for treating Zollinger-Ellison syndrome: 40-80 mg daily. The dose can be increased to 160 mg daily.
- It is preferable to take the dose once in the morning, about an hour before breakfast.
