Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome (LGS) attacks: As an adjunctive treatment.
Migraine prophylaxis: In adults, to reduce the frequency of migraine attacks, but it is not used to treat acute migraine attacks.
The goal of treatment is to control epileptic seizures and reduce their frequency, as well as to reduce the number of migraine attacks experienced by the patient.
What is the dosage of Delpiramate?
Delpiramate tablets should be taken as directed by a physician. The dosage and duration of treatment are determined based on the condition being treated, the patient's age, weight, and response to the medication. The dose is usually started at a low dose and gradually increased over several weeks to reduce side effects
For epilepsy or migraine: Initial doses are low (such as 25 mg daily), then gradually increased. The medication can be taken once or twice daily.
Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water and can be taken with or without food.
