Medicine Description
Atrovent is a bronchodilator used in the treatment of bronchial obstruction such as chronic obstructive bronchitis and bronchial asthma. Atrovent works by expanding the bronchi without systemic effects.
Atrovent treatment does not affect the production of secretions in the airways or mucociliary transport or gas exchange. The result is greater and more sustained bronchodilation, with a noticeable onset of effect within 15 minutes at most.
