About Meloxicam NSAID, Thiazole derivative, Oxicam class, Analgesic,anti-inflammatory. Mechanism of Action of Meloxicam This drug reduces the prostaglandin synthesis peripherally by inhibiting COX1 & COX2 isoenzymes. This results its antinflammatory action.
