About Pinaverium Bromide A calcium channel blocker, For functional gastrointestinal disorder. Mechanism of Action of Pinaverium Bromide Pinaverium is a calcium channel blocker. It inhibits the calcium influx through voltage-dependent calcium channel in the intestinal smooth muscle and produces relaxation of smooth muscle. Indications for Pinaverium Bromide 1.Irritable bowel syndrome 2.Abdominal pain 3.Bowel disturbances Typical Dosage for Pinaverium Bromide Adult: Oral:150mg/day in 3 divided doses. Dose can be increased to 300mg/day if sufficient response is not obtained.
