tamoxin is used to prevent and treat breast cancer. This medication works by blocking the hormone estrogen in breast tissue, which prevents breast cancer cells from spreading or growing. This medication should be taken by mouth, as directed on the prescription label, at the same time each day.
tamoxin can be taken with or without food. If it upsets your stomach, it can be taken with food. It is important to continue taking your other asthma medications unless your healthcare team tells you to stop.
