About Norethisterone Norethisterone and its acetate and enanthate esters are synthetic progestogens given by mouth given in the treatment of abnormal uterine bleeding and endometriosis. Indications for Norethisterone Primary & secondary amenorrhoea of long duration, metropathia haemorrhagica, menorrhagia, dysmenorrhoea, polymenorrhoea, premenstrual syndrome. Female subfertility, endometriosis. Timing of menstruation. As contraceptive drug.
