About Niclosamide Anthelmintic, a chlorinated salicylanilide, Anticestodal(taeniacide). Mechanism of Action of Niclosamide It excerts its vermicidal action against cestodes by inhibiting anaerobic phosphorylation of ADP by mitochondria of parasite which leads to energy depletion.
