    Medicine Description

Oncovin is used to treat a range of cancers, including lymphoma, leukemia, and bone cancer. It contains vincristine, which works to stop cancer cell division by affecting the microtubules within the cell, leading to a halt in tumor growth. Encovin is given intravenously under the supervision of a specialist physician and is often part of a combination treatment protocol. The patient must be carefully monitored because Encovin may cause neurological side effects such as numbness and weakness in the extremities. It may also lead to severe constipation and a decrease in white blood cells, which increases the risk of infection. Blood tests must be monitored regularly during treatment. Encovin is not recommended for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. The doctor must be informed of all medications being taken to avoid serious drug interactions.
