The patient requires close medical follow-up due to potential side effects such as nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, and general fatigue.
DTIC may also cause a decrease in blood cells, which requires regular blood tests during treatment. Liver function must be monitored because this drug may directly affect it. It is not recommended for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. The doctor must be informed of any other medications being taken to avoid drug interactions.
