Cebemyxine is an eye ointment used to treat eye infections caused by bacterial infections. It contains antibiotics that kill the bacteria causing the infection and help reduce redness, irritation, and discharge resulting from the inflammation. It is also used in cases of conjunctivitis, blepharitis, and other superficial eye infections. Cebemyxine is applied inside the lower eyelid of the affected eye according to the doctor's instructions. It must be continued for the specified period, even if symptoms improve, to avoid recurrence of the infection. It is also important to avoid direct contact with the eye with the tip of the tube and to maintain hand hygiene when applying it. It is not recommended to use it without a prescription to avoid bacterial resistance to the antibiotic.
