Terpin is used to treat a variety of health conditions associated with fungal infections affecting the skin, hair, and nails. This medication works as a powerful antifungal by affecting the cell membranes of fungi, thus eliminating them and preventing their growth and reproduction. Terpin is used to treat fungal infections of the feet, such as athlete's foot; fungal infections of the nails, known as onychomycosis; and fungal infections of the body or groin, such as tinea corporis or tinea cruris.
Terpin may also be prescribed for some types of ringworm that appear on the scalp.
