Plasil is used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), prevent nausea and vomiting, and diabetic gastroparesis, a condition that causes frequent nausea and vomiting. The drug is a dopamine antagonist used to treat nausea and vomiting that may be associated with diabetic gastroparesis as well as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).
Plasil may also be used to prevent nausea or vomiting associated with chemotherapy or certain surgical or diagnostic procedures.
