Norbactin is used to treat a variety of bacterial infections. It belongs to a class of antibiotics known as quinolones. It is usually prescribed to treat urinary tract infections, such as cystitis and kidney infections, as well as gastrointestinal infections and prostate infections.
Norbactin may also be used in some cases to treat respiratory infections or skin infections and other tissue infections caused by bacteria sensitive to this drug.
